The project entitled Overcoming DHH Stigma through Empowerment aims to increase the participation of linguistic minorities – Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (DHH) – in democratic and civic processes of the country. The project is related to the priority field named “Civic Engagement and Empowerment as well as the Rights of Minorities”.

The expected results are:

• Increased number of DHH having deeper understanding of democratic processes in Georgia;
• A web-forum – an open platform designed for communication and exchanging ideas and experiences among DHH ;
• Improved computer literacy for DHH to encourage their participation in political and social discourse;
• Published Election-Dictionary of Georgian Sign Language.
